Pure-water system
October 1st 2007

Christ's latest pure-water system, the Osmotron Compact, is claimed to need 25% less space than conventional systems. The frame can, if necessary, be constructed in two parts to permit passage through narrow corridors and doorways. The amount of piping has been reduced, simplifying installation and reducing the risk of germ growth, since there are fewer dead spaces.Microbiological safety is also ensured by facilities for hotwater or chemical sanitisation, depending on the unit type.

Either the water softener or the reverse-osmosis stage can be sanitised separately or the RO and Septron-EDI can be sanitised together. The efficiency and reliability of the sanitisation process is increased by the fact that water at a temperature of more than 80°C flows through all pipes in the unit.

All parts of the Osmotron Compact in contact with the water are made from stainless steel 316 L.
