Fighting Legionella by destroying slime
April 1st 2008

Chlorine dioxide production system Oxiperm Pro, from suppliers Grundfos Alldos, is a solution for fighting Legionella.

The ideal breeding ground for Legionella is the slimy layer inside water pipes known as biofilm. The advantage of chlorine dioxide over other disinfectants is that it destroys existing biofilms, removing the breeding ground and preventing build up.

The system is available in two capacity levels producing 5 or 10g of chlorine dioxide per/hr to treat 50m3 per/hr at 0.4mg/l CIO2.
