Easier turning for timed taps
April 1st 2008

Douglas-Delabie a supplier of thermostatic control solutions and accessories, has launched its new Temposoft range of easy to operate 'soft touch' timed flow push basin taps and mixers.

Increasingly used in commercial and public buildings to achieve savings in water and energy, time flow taps also address possible cross contamination concerns including MRSA and other infections.

However, the hand pressure required to operate them can sometimes cause difficulties for the very young or very old. The Temposoft and Temposoft AB basin taps feature a 'twice as soft' push action, and self close after a 15 second time run.The self closure after handwashing prevents cross contamination of bacteria.

The company says in comparison to traditional basin taps, water savings of around 70% can be achieved due to a regulated flow rate of 4 litres/min. Reinforced fixing prevents tap swivel and the tap also features scale proof aerato. In the Temposoft AB water flow only starts once the 'soft touch' button has been released.

The Temposoft basin mixer has similar features and water saving benefits. It also features a regulated flow of 6 litres/min, a side manual temperature selector and stainless steel flexible connectors with filters.
