Closing the channels for disinfection

Berson, the only manufacturer of medium pressure UV water disinfection systems to be certified to German DVGW Standard W294, has announced it is to offer the product in the UK for the first time.

The systems are already in use in municipal water and wastewater infrastructures in Europe, the USA and Australia.

Berson's InLine systems provide closed vessel disinfection of drinking and waste water at very high volume and flow rates.

Advantages over open channel low pressure systems include a smaller footprint, automated mechanical cleaning of UV lamps and permanent deactivation of microorganisms as there is no sunlight exposure to encourage photo-reactivation. It can can be integrated into existing pipework.
