Catalytic water conditioners
June 1st 2007

Catalytic water Fluid Dynamics has found an environmentally friendly solution to limescale control with its Colloid- A-Tron and Scaletron catalytic water conditioners.

Eliminating the need for aggressive chemicals and manual de-scaling, and requiring no power supply, the performance of these units has been verified during testing at UKAEA Harwell and they are backed by a one-year guarantee.Colloid-A-Tron and Scaletron catalytic in-line water conditioners incorporate a specially developed alloy which, when in contact with flowing water, generates an electrolytic action.

This ensures that when the calcium carbonate in the water crystallises it forms soft aragonite crystals rather than the hard calcite crystals the build into limescale. The soft aragonite crystals are flushed through the system and any deposits can be easily removed with a damp cloth.
