Sustainable system
June 1st 2008

The UK is leaking 4,858 mega litres of water per day. In processing 1 mega litre of water, 0.289t of greenhouse gases are emitted. Current techniques and products are not sustainable and have little effect on reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions.

However, hydraulic modulation is sustainable.

Aquavent UK has developed Aquai-Mod, an instantaneous pressure management system that does not rely on power but uses flow velocity of the system itself. Modulation of the PRVs is continuous and on a supply on demand basis. Aquavent says savings are being recorded between 0.015 and 0.25 ML/day per installation.
