Specifies 'probability of failure on demand'
February 1st 2008

ABB's new generation of HART transmitters, the TTH300 and the TTF300, feature SIL2 certification from TUV. Units are suitable for a range of chemical processing and oil and gas applications.

The TTH300 specifies a 'probability of failure on demand' of 0.01 to 0.001. This has been achieved through the use of redundancy and is particularly useful on a safety critical application. It also allows replacement of the failed sensor at the most cost-effective time.
