Turning on the savings
May 1st 2007

Supplier of commercial and domestic water softeners, Tapworks, says it has been able to show an average 32 per cent saving on running costs resulting from the installation of Tapworks units in place of existing softeners. It will be at The Energy Event 2007 to show how and why.

As a direct result of the last show in 2006, Tapworks has undertaken several really interesting site energy reviews and has been able to show consistently that where non-Tapworks softeners are installed, their advanced North Star technology and high quality build would typically save the customer up to 32% of their current running costs.

On sites where no softeners were currently fitted, it says many businesses have been astounded to learn about the real savings they can make to their energy costs by fitting a Tapworks North Star softener.

More and more businesses are becoming aware of the damage hard water and scale build up can cause to their assets, as well as significantly to their budgets. Awareness of the damage hard water causes in visible areas – in appliances for example - is easy to see and understand - and people are quick to recognise the need to do something about it.

The Tapworks team says that people are now increasingly recognising the damage that can be caused where it can’t be easily seen; in heating systems, boiler heat exchangers, pipework and radiators, for example.
