More effective energy management
June 18th 2007

aM&T devices have quickly become the must-have monitoring accessory across nearly every industry, these systems are now seen by many as a key tool in helping to deliver effective energy management.

Traditional aM&T devices provide users with an understanding of where energy is being used and identifies waste and poor performance, however, t-mac Technologies is warning that businesses shouldnt rely on these devices alone to provide full energy management expertise.

Showcasing its second generation aM&T device - t-mac - at the Energy Event 2007, the company aims to make visitors aware of the benefits that its remote, GPRS enabled device can bring.

t-mac is an all-round energy management package, it takes traditional aM&T to the next level with an added element - control, termed as aM&T+C.

Lisa Wilkinson, business development director from t-mac Technologies, comments: Businesses are increasingly becoming more switched-on to the benefits that energy management can bring in reducing carbon emissions and costs. However, when operating alone, traditional aM&T devices only provide information on energy use and hence, without remote and automated control, managers cannot conduct, and put into place, full energy saving strategies and activities.

Our clients and customers are constantly saying that they dont just need to know what energy they are using but they need to have the ability to control it. This is where t-mac can help. Ultimately by controlling energy use equipment or minimising use of high consumption areas, business is able to take action to reduce energy costs and ultimately its carbon emissions.
