Learn how to reduce water bills by 50% at The Energy Event May 29th 2008 Envirowise will be hosting a seminar at www.theenergyevent.co.uk about how businesses can reduce water bills by up to 50% by adopting a systematic approach to water management. The Energy Event, sponsored by Total Gas & Power takes place at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on 10th-11th September 2008.
Water is an increasingly expensive resource with mains, sewerage and trade effluent charges all rising and, according to Envirowise, reducing water consumption is one of the easiest and most inexpensive ways to achieve cost savings. The Envirowise seminar will help delegates identify ways to minimise water use by understanding where waste occurs in their businesses and how to reduce it.
Those attending the seminar will also be given advice on The Water Technology List that has been developed by DEFRA and the Inland Revenue in partnership with Envirowise to encourage more efficient water use and improvements in water quality. Envirowise will explain how, by using products on The Water Technology List that are recognised as using water more sustainably, businesses can expect an initial cash boost through the Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, as well as an ongoing saving on water bills.
Envirowise’s seminar is part of the conference and seminar programme at The Energy Event which is the UK’s only annual exhibition and conference to focus solely on energy procurement, management and efficiency, including water efficiency. Also hosting conferences and seminars this year will be ESTA (Energy Services and Technology Association), MEUC (Major Energy Users Council), CIBSE (Chartered Institute of Building Service Engineers), BCAS (British Compressed Air Society) and Energy Information Centre (EIC). To view the full programme and sign up for sessions visit www.theenergyevent.co.uk
Headlining the conference programme will be the Energy Insight Conference which is aimed at directors and senior management and will primarily focus on energy procurement. Those interested in attending are advised to register early as, while there is no cost to attend, places are limited and much sought after.
Total Gas & Power is the official sponsor for this year’s event with other sponsors including: EDF Energy, Encore International, Llumarlite, Shell Gas Direct and The Utilities Exchange. The event this year will once again be carbon neutral with Carbon Clear acting as the event’s carbon offsetting partner.
