The road to reduced energy bills February 2nd 2006 ESTA and the Carbon Trust are launching aM&T Routemaster – a guide to help energy managers successfully implement automated monitoring and targeting technologies.
aM&T means no more manual gathering, collating and checking metered data: the systems include metering , automatic meter reading, data collection, wastage analysis as well as automatic alarms to alert staff to excess consumption. And it works for all energy and water utilities.
Some of the country’s largest energy and water users are successfully employing the technology, reducing waste, saving money and cutting emissions. As individual companies have individual needs, the Routemaster is designed to help find the best fit.
Launching at the fourth National aM&T Conference and Exhibition on 14 March, the event is free (for two delegates from any given site) and is held at Aston Villa football club in the heart of Birmingham. The Routemaster will provide advice on different aspects of energy management - from how best to access the primary metered data collected by your energy supplier to the best arrangement of secondary metering for optimum results on larger sites.
Once launched, the Routemaster will be available as an on-line tool at www.esta.org.uk. More articles from ESTA: |
