 Energy in Transition 2009
May 15th 2009

Energy in Transition 2009 will be wholly focused on the issues of implementing long-term change to our existing energy systems to ensure better management of energy demand and use. It will look at the key factors that are driving change including the UK’s ambitions for tackling climate change, ensuring efficient use of energy, making supplies more reliable and reducing energy dependency. Delegates will be able to ask key agencies how they are ensuring the action needed in order to move to a low carbon energy system. Speakers and exhibitors will be able to demonstrate how it could be achieved.
 


Key themes of the conference will include:

• Attitude and technology – engaging the end user

• Local delivery and planning

• Energy investment and financing change

• Future energy supplies

• An international energy system.

Thursday 18 June

09.00 – 12.30 Conference: An International Energy System

As well as three one day conferences and a half day conference the entire event will also include a new free-to-attend Energy Debate. EIT will finish with the Summer Lunch and the Guest of Honour will be Neelie Kroes – EU Commissioner for Competition (confirmed speaker) and which will be a key networking event for around 200 delegates. Event sponsors include Water Energy & Environment and The Energy Event 2009.
