Stern launches UK climate research centre February 1st 2009 Lord Nicholas Stern has launched a Centre for Climate Change Economics and Policy.
The mission of the centre is to advance public and private action on climate change through rigorous, innovative research.
It will be chaired by Lord Stern and jointly managed by the London School of Economics and Political Science and the University of Leeds. Objectives include:
• Developing climate science and economics
• Climate-change governance for a new global deal
• Adaptation to climate change and human development
• Governments, markets and climate-change mitigation
