Businesses must be green to grow, new study advises
February 1st 2008

Businesses must be clear in their aims in order to develop a successful sustainability strategy according to a new guide.

‘The route to sustainability’, published by EDF Energy in collaboration with the CBI shows how companies can become more environmentally responsible through significantly reducing their energy consumption, transport and waste. Examples of smart practices are given from a cross section of organisations in the private and public sector.

As well as the much-discussed need to address climate change head-on,the guide also highlights the financial benefits to be enjoyed by companies that take steps to reduce their energy use.
