Energy manager Triumphs at The Energy Event 2009
Energy manager for Datacom Europe – Mark Colvin was delighted to hear that he had been drawn from the 3000+ delegates of The Energy Event to win the main prize of a Triumph Bonneville T100.
Commenting on the prize he said “Whilst I had always intended on going to The Energy Event in previous years, this was the first time I had actually been able to make it.The event itself really surprised me as I didn’t expect it to have anywhere near as much information and advice.
“It may sound a real cliché but I don’t think I have even won as much as £10 on the lottery before now – so it was a real shock to have the call from Eamonn.”
Event organisers Western Business Exhibitions carried out the draw and it was up to exhibition director Eamonn Brennan to pass on the good news.“You can never tire of making a call like this” said Eamonn,“Mark was convinced it was a hoax at first but was completely made up when he realised he really had one the bike”.
Manager Andrew Gedge of Marks local Triumph Dealership J S Gedge in Pevensey Bay, handed over the keys to a delighted Mark who still had a tiny suspicion that it was a wind up. “I am a part time Fireman and the lads are always winding each other up” he said,“In fact until I arrived and received the keys I was still just a little unsure”.
