Semi-automatic baler picked by waste firm

GPT Waste Management of Runcorn has purchased a semiautomatic baler from 3r Environmental Technology for use in its M-Pak Recycling centre.

The machine is designed to handle cardboard, paper, plastics and cans and is made by the USAbased Marathon Equipment company.

The horizontal semi-automatic baler includes a 15kW motor and produces a mill-size bale that weighs between 500 and 650kg, depending on the product.

Its full chamber penetration ensures maximum use of the press force available. Features include 1500mm long chargebox, replaceable sheer blade, auto bale eject, variable bale length and photo cell
