Battery recycling scheme launched
April 1st 2006

All waste batteries are classified as hazardous waste and disposing of them responsibly requires specialist skills and equipment. A battery recycling service, introduced by Mercury Recycling, offers a solution.

The Batterysafe service will encompass all types of batteries and provide recycling in compliance with all current legislation and will also satisfy requirements under ISO 9000:2000 and BS EN 14001 quality and environmental accreditations.

Each contract is tailored to meet the needs of the user, reflecting the company's turnover of batteries.

Mercury provides all necessary paperwork to provide a full audit trail and meet the Hazardous Waste Regulations.

The company also offers a lamp recycling service - Lampsafe.
