Valves control water feature at Chelsea June 1st 2006 "Their quick simple operation, from a trickle of water to full bore, proved to be a fantastic way of using standard butterfly valves to control water to create an unusual feature", was how Andrew Herring md of Herring Homes, described his use of GF pipework Type 567 Double Eccentric Actuated Butterfly Valves in Bradstone's 'Walking Barefoot with Bradstone'garden which won a Gold Award at Chelsea Flower Show.
A computer program was used to control the Type 567 actuated valves, which provided four principal water displays and a variety of permutations on the water feature.
With an actuation torque up to 50% less than most other butterfly valves George Fischer's Type 567 Butterfly Valves were suited to use in the water feature as this has the advantage that smaller and more economical actuators could be used. More articles from George Fischer Sales Ltd: |
