Sensorless burshless DC motor control

Agile Systems DPDLite drive with sensorless motor commutation system for brush less DC motors offers simplified control and improved performance when compared to servomotors with traditional hall-effect feedback.

Available from LG Motion, the compact single board design can be mounted either inside the motor housing or separately to provide two-wire power connection with full PID closed loop torque and velocity control.

Using Agiles'innovative algorithm, based on motor phase inductance measurement that allows the motor to start unidirectionally without startup delay, the DPDLite detects rotor position from stand still through its speed range for control of fans, pumps, compressors, centriguges and other speed and torque based applications.
