Sunny side up for water heating system
February 1st 2008

Hoval's SolKit is a solar system for heating domestic hot water (DHW), comprising solar collectors with necessary bracketry and flashing kits for on pitched roof, in-pitched roof, on flat roof or on the wall, a fully stainless steel calorifier, a sophisticated plug and play digital control system, pre-mixed heat transfer fluid and all connections. It is suitable for both light commercial and residential properties and can be installed in one day using a flexible umbilical (15, 20 or 25m) carrying flow and return pipes and a sensor cable.

Designed in conjunction with the University of Rapperswil, the SolKit uses Hoval's LowFlow technology to achieve high solar fluid temperatures, with minimal energy consumption for pumping.

When weather conditions are not favourable the SolKit has a coil linked to the boiler at the top of the tank to facilitate auxiliary heating.

SolKits are available with either a 250 litre storage calorifier with two flat plate solar collectors, or a 470 litre calorifier with two or three collectors. The solar collectors are coated with a selective material to enhance absorption and feature two-layer thermal insulation and an anti-reflective front glass panel to minimise energy losses.

For further information call the number opposite.
