Roof integration kit
February 1st 2008 Viessmann has introduced a
roof integration kit to make solar
panels less obtrusive. While solar
panels can be mounted directly
above tiling, the new kit allows
them to be recessed within the
depth of the tiling.
A tray is mounted where the
panels are to be sited. This tray
has profiles to fit Roman, slate or
plain tiles and can be coloured to
give a match with the tiles. Side
flashing pieces are made to the
tiles and the solar panels then
mounted into the tray. A curved
box section covers the pipework
connections to the panels.
