Greener training
June 1st 2007 Petans concentrates on safety
training for the offshore and
other industries using a one
million gallon pool where
trainees are taught to escape
from a simulated helicopter
ditching. EnergyWorx worked
with Viessmann to install a solar
thermal system combined with
high efficiency condensing
boilers. The system includes
Viessmann Vitosol 200 vacuum
tube solar collectors mounted on
the roof and south facing wall of
the pool building.
Totalling 86m2, the system can
generate up to 56000 kW/h under
peak solar conditions. Most of
this energy goes to the pool but
also heats the showers and other
