August 1st 2007

Energy & technical facilities provider Cofathec UK, a subsidiary of Gaz de France, has acquired Berkshire-based Resource Environmental Services Limited. Resource Environmental specialises in mechanical and electrical maintenance and installation work, employs around 100 staff and has a turnover of approximately £10m.

"Resource Environmental provides an excellent strategic fit with our existing activities, increasing our nationwide portfolio of maintenance contracts and providing a significant boost to our presence in the South West where they are particularly strong," said Cofathec chief executive Richard Derry (pictured)."At the same time, we will be able to offer Resource Environmental clients a wider range of integrated services, including energy supply and management," he added.
