Halve the costs of sub-metering systems October 1st 2007 This practical approach to
Monitoring and Targeting uses
ESCOT Energy Smart clip-on
transducers that are simply
attached to phase cables without
any supply interruption
whatsoever.
These ESCOT CT's transmit low
voltage signals which are
directly proportional to the
true KWh energy
consumption in that
sector of the building
electrical distribution
network. Low cost
Belden type cable can
be routed rather like
telephone wire, suspended over
ceilings and via utiliy risers and so
on to a collator unit which has
plug in connections for 36 ESCOT
CT's.Distances of over 1km can
easily be spanned without any
degredation in signal accuracy.
The major advantage of ESCOT
is, that unlike standard sub-meter
installations, no 230v or 415v
voltage connections need to be
made at each meter point.This
offers enormous cost savings for
automatic M&T systems
particulary in multi storey
buildings.
Up to 8 Collators can be linked
by RS485 for a 288 way Modbus
system or pulse outputs to BMS
outstations are optional. Sinergy
fully support the system with online
display and energy use
analysis software purchased in
modules to match the Facility or
Energy Manager's requirements. More articles from Sinergy Limited: |
