Suitable for use in ATEX zones
December 1st 2007

The efector octavis bearing condition monitor from ifm electronic is now available with ATEX equipment category 3D/3G, and is therefore suitable for zone 22 or zone 2 explosion-hazard areas. These new versions are rated at IP69K, making them suitable for the wettest of tasks.

Rolling element bearings are probably the commonest element to be found on the shop floor. As both a load-bearing and moving component, their condition determines the efficiency of the machines. The efector octavis recognises, displays and signals bearing condition. Affordable sensors mean monitoring is no longer restricted to the most critical bearings, and operatives will not need extensive training.

efector octavis detects rolling element bearing failures and shaft imbalance conditions on critical plant equipment to continuously monitor a machine's operating condition through vibration analysis.Alarm displays are included.
