Three becomes one December 1st 2004 The service arms of market leading Novar brands Trend, Gent and Bardic have been integrated to create a single building systems maintenance company.
Called Novar Services, it offers the support that building owners and users need to ensure the continued effectiveness of their environmental controls, fire systems and emergency lighting equipment.
The new unified business looks after a customer base that currently comprises over 20 000 individual sites.
As well as its expertise in Trend building controls, Gent fire detection/alarm systems and Bardic lighting, Novar Services also has the know-how to maintain other manufacturers’ installations and equipment. Customers will benefit from its use of a service management system that enables accurate planning of appointments, a fast response to call-outs and a high firsttime fix rate.Around the UK the company has 235 field service engineers.
Novar Services provides round-theclock cover 365 days a year, plus access to a permanently open freephone technical help desk. Preventative maintenance and call-out packages can be created from a range of standard service offerings or customised to suit special needs.A large and automatically replenished stock of spares, distributed across 200 locations, ensures ready availability of system parts.
Fire and emergency lighting systems must be maintained to a high standard if they are to comply with current legislation.
Any company maintaining such systems has to be UKAS-certified – which Novar Services is.The company’s service level agreements meet the requirements of British Standards, providing all the checks demanded by BS5839-1 (fire systems) and BS5266-1 (emergency lighting).
For BMS users there are a wide variety of services available, ranging from regular checks and routines such as system integrity scans, backing up data files, sensor recalibration and plant exercising, to control strategy reviews and complete site energy audits. From its Horsham Bureau, Novar also offers a sophisticated remote monitoring service that automatically identifies energy waste. |
