Remote monitoring
April 1st 2007

Hamworthy Heating has launched a Remote Monitoring Unit enabling customers to have affordable real time boiler information delivered to their desktop. The package reduces the risk of disruption to heating and hot water services and allows boiler performance and energy consumption to be monitored at the click of a mouse.

"It is a proactive system, rather than reactive. Our customers will gain greater control over boiler performance, whilst fault indicators and diagnostics will render many traditional callouts unnecessary," commented Nick Cooper, Hamworthy's national sales manager.

The Remote Monitoring Unit, developed with IQ3 technology from Trend, can be connected to an existing LAN network, via Broadband or ADSL, or by using an existing Trend BMS Network.A secure login and password gives users access 24/7 to view logs, reports and historical data to monitor performance.

The 24-hour bureau support service, manned by experienced engineers trained in remote diagnostics, is tailored to individual customers requirements and includes pre-agreed procedures when faults occur. The new Remote Monitoring Unit brings the functionality of BMS to your desktop without the need for costly servers, workstations and software.
