Daikin Europe has introduced an updated version of its intelligent touch controller (I-controller),which provides building owners, facilities/premises managers and maintenance operators refined and energy efficient control of Daikin VRVII,Mini VRVII-S,mixed VRVII/Sky Air and HRV heat recovery air conditioning installations.

I-controller enables systems for entire buildings to be monitored and controlled at the touch of a pen. Intended for use in conjunction with smaller installations of up to 2 x 64 groups of indoor units, the controller is linked directly to the system via a Daikin DIII-NET connection without the need for a PC.

The unit mounts neatly onto any convenient wall,taking up less space than standard BMS consoles and comprises a touch screen and coloured LCD display.Easy to read, easy to use and easy to install,Icontroller provides detailed operating information on any selected zone or group of indoor units and their individual status.

Indoor units can be started and stopped,filter conditions recorded and malfunctions indicated.Overall and zoned power consumption can also be measured,facilitating customer billing via a tenant data memory card,which can be uploaded onto a PC.Services other than air conditioning can be monitored and controlled and fire warning alerts provided.

New features of the updated Icontroller include the facility for remote monitoring (via internet), optional connection to the Daikin AIRNET maintenance network, built in protection against unauthorised use,improved screen display with interchangeable colours, multi language readout and simple interlock.
