HVAC control peripherals specialist, Sontay, has introduced two new ranges of gas detection devices, providing systems integrators with the choice of networked gas leakage alarm system or stand alone gas sensors. Sontays GL-TX32 Gas Leak Alarm System is a user-friendly centralised display panel capable of monitoring up to 32 different sensors simultaneously covering any combination of gas types. Using the latest digital technology to ensure more accuracy and reliability by reducing the effect of electrical noise, sensors can be daisy-chained together on a single CAT 5 bus system cable. All sensors are powered and set from the wall mounted master unit. Each sensor can be programmed with a choice of two dedicated programmable alarm levels and the unit has a 256 event alarm memory. The intensity of each sensor reading may be displayed on the clear back-lit LCD display and the 12 button keypad is simple to use. The system is able to monitor a range of different gases, such as, carbon monoxide, ammonia, refrigerant, natural gas and others according to application requirements. The range also includes stand alone relay output gas sensors that can be used to provide alarm indication to a BMS or to switch plant equipment. The Stand Alone Gas Sensors can detect a wide variety of different gases such as refrigerant, methane, LPG, and ammonia. Each sensor is microprocessor controlled for accurate gas measurement and reliability. They feature factory set alarm thresholds, a choice of two different alarm levels and an audible alarm.
