Plant upgrade August 1st 2006 Strathmore Mineral Water has recently completely upgraded its water processing technology thanks to Alfa Laval and Wessex Processing Systems.
A new automated bottling plant was installed to meet an increase in demand.
To optimise efficiency Strathmore looked at three key areas of the water production side of the operation, including the Cleaning in Place (CIP) system that ensures sterile filling conditions.
The Alfa Lavel 'stripped-down' sanitary pump was selected to ensure that temperature, pressure and chemical concentrations were delivered at optimum levels.
Bob Watson, Strathmore Plant Director reports that the new plant has helped to:"increase output and reduce unecessary downtime"and made the plant:"future-proof." More articles from Alfa Laval Limited: |
