Portable shut-off valve prevents drain pollution

Designed for emergency sealing of pipe and drains, the Portable Envirovalve introduced by Darcy Products provides a simple, easily deployed method of preventing spilled out leaking pollutant from flowing into the drainage system.

By using a lance and inflatable bladder, sealing can be carried out rapidly even in deep manholes, without the need for confined space and equipment.

Developed in conjunction with the emergency services and the environmental agency, the unit consists of an easily assembled lance and lance holder with quick release coupling, inflatable bladder with grip suitable for sealing all pipes from 100mm to 375mm diameter, and a high pressure pump for rapid inflation. A retaining rope is provided for bladder recovery.
