Gas Group II C accreditation

Flotronic Pumps has taken its ATEX 94/9/EC compliance level further with the award of Gas Group II C accreditation. Already compliant to II A and II B standards, the company was keen to meet the requirements of II C which include more stringent anti-static regulations and the ability to operate in an environment where acetylene and hydrogen are present.

Independently ratified by notification body Intertek Testing Services, the enhanced certification required anti-static components which meet with EN 13463, the British Standard governing nonelectrical equipment intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
