Intelligent ballast is also SMART

The new xitec processor from TridonicAtco is the latest intelligent ballast that follows the ASIC generations.The xitec processor, has a high level of digital processing.The 'SMART heating concept' disconnects electrode preheating for fluorescent lamps to ensure they operate in accordance with specifications, with optimum energy efficiency and constant luminous flux.

Preventative monitoring features Intelligent Temperature Guard (ITG) and Intelligent Voltage Guard (IVG), prevent damage and protect installers and users by checking the temperature and voltage of the ballasts. Energy efficiency is boosted by lower power loss in the xitex versions of the PC PRO ballasts.With DALI, instead of the 161 standard commands, units with xitec technology provide an additional 30% more application specific DALI commands.
