Insurer ensures appropriate lighting levels June 1st 2008 A major lighting refurbishment
incorporating sophisticated
lighting management from Ex-Or
has been completed at the
Birmingham office complex of
Royal & SunAlliance.
The Fagerhult lighting system
only delivers light when needed
without any energy wastage, so will
help the insurance company cut its
carbon footprint. It will also mean
an annual saving of £3000 on the
electricity bill for the three-floor
complex.
As lights are automatically set at
optimum levels, staff work in a
healthy and productive
environment.
The lighting is controlled by the
Ex-Or MLS Digital Managed
Lighting System by means of
discrete detectors and controls
built in to the luminaires.
The MLS management system
ensures that lights throughout the
offices are only on when they are
actually needed and automatically
dim and brighten to provide good
levels of light for staff.
Detectors automatically sense
the presence of occupants and
measure levels of ambient light.
They communicate with each other
to provide the correct level of
lighting to designated work zones. More articles from Ex-Or Limited: |
