Retail development's lighting gets a new look
February 1st 2008 The newly opened retail
development in Gainsborough,
Lincolnshire is using energy
efficient luminaires from
Holophane Lighting.As the area
was listed, strict regulations were in
place and architects WCEC called
upon Holophane's expertise to
ensure all the lighting within the
development was in keeping with
the area. LEDs have been used
throughout the interior of the
centre to highlight the original
brickwork around the retail units,
while LED3 fittings have been
employed around walkways.Their
robust construction and the IP68
rating ensures that the LED3
fittings will not deteriorate under
even extreme weather conditions.
Holophanes Senator luminaires
have been installed in the
landscaped Plaza areas to
complement the LEDs.Holophane's
Vistagrande luminaires
incorporating 400W Venture metal
halide lamps are being used in the
car parking areas mounted on 8
