Makes lighting accessible
October 1st 2007

Panasonic Electric Works says that its Luxlift system can remove many of the concerns regarding changing bulbs and working at height. A fully automated system for lowering and raising lighting fixtures weighing between 5 and 100kg is now available.

The height of an installed unit can be between 3–25 metres.

With the flick of a switch, or using wireless remote control, even an unskilled operator can lower the fixture from high or inaccessible spaces to a safe level for lamp replacement.

Luxlift ensures that all power is isolated. The lamp change can be done in electrical and physical safety. When the bulb exchange is completed, the unit is raised automatically and power contact made to ignite the lamp.

All of this is achieved without the need for anyone to leave the flat, safe work surface that safe working practices now demand.
