Lighting levels go through the roof
October 1st 2007

SolaLighting's Solatube Daylighting System has a new technically advanced roof dome. It features a patented Raybender 3000 Fresnel lens system with integral LightTracker reflector.

Solatube's 99.7% reflective Spectralight Infinity tube material ensures the maximum amount of captured daylight is delivered to the room below. The systems are maintenance free and there are no running costs.

With its patented Raybender 3000 Fresnel lens, the new dome harvests the maximum amount of daylight and focuses it down the reflective tube at the steepest possible angle to minimise bounces. The 99.7% reflective LightTracker reflector, fitted inside the dome, significantly increases the light capture area, and is particularly effective in redirecting light into the tube when the sun is low in the sky – in the early morning, late evening or during winter months.

SolaLighting's Spectralight Infinity tube is said to be the most efficient reflective surface in any tubular daylight system. Being 99.7% reflective, Spectralight Infinity absorbs only 0.3% light energy at each bounce – after 20 bounces it will deliver 94% of the original light.
