Compact fluorescent lighting December 1st 2007 Royal Philips Electronics (AEX:
PHI,NYSE: PHG) has introduced a
new compact fluorescent lighting
system, the MASTER PL-R Eco is said
to give fast return on investment, is
simple in installation and robust. In
addition the new system will also
indirectly save CO2.
A new design of both lamp and
ballast, with special attention paid
to optimising the interaction
between the two, has resulted in
much-improved efficacy, says
Philips.This means lower amounts
of electricity are required to
generate the same amount of light.
MASTER PL-R Eco uses 25% less
energy than comparable PL-C/Tbased
high-frequency compact
fluorescent systems and 50% less
than PL-C/T-based electromagnetic
