June 1st 2008

Adding renewable technology, like solar heating, to a new housing project gives credits towards Sustainable Homes targets.

Viessmann has provided a neat and efficient solution with its new Vitodens 343- F. A hybrid heating package fully integrating solar and a high efficiency condensing boiler, the 343-F is suitable for new and well insulated retrofitted homes.

Housed in a kitchen styled compact package with a 677 x 600mm footprint, the 343-F includes a 250l storage cylinder with connections made for both solar and boiler inputs.

Also fitted is the solar control package, a Solar Divicon and Vitosolic 100 control. The condensing boiler with its stainless steel heat exchanger, a clean, quiet MatriX burner and Lambda Pro controls has an efficiency of 98%, says Viessmann.

It provides 16kW booster output to water or 13kW to heating. The Energy Management System ensures clean, safe combustion.
