First UK CIBSE Energy Assessor
June 1st 2008 Darren Jones of Efficient Air has
become the UK's first CIBSE fully
approved Energy Assessor of
complex air conditioning systems.
His appointment was announced
on May 12 by Ratija Chitnavis,
Certification Manager for CIBSE.
Working alongside colleagues from
Efficient Air, Darren has developed
a comprehensive methodology for
assessing the efficiency of HAVC
plant within any type of building.
Efficient Air Consulting
specialises in comprehensive HVAC
systems surveys and inspections for
organisations that need to meet
new energy performance directives
and secure maximum carbon and
energy savings.
Some 20,000 systems in England
and Wales, have to meet inspection
deadlines
under TM44
by January 4
2009.The first
premises
inspected by
Jones and the
team of
inspectors was
the Tower of
London.
Efficient Air recommended that
energy savings could be made
through quick win, low cost
