Constantly in 'comfort zone' February 1st 2008 A Reznor gas-fired warm air
heating system at Media Control's
new Kings Norton warehouse is
ensuring that staff and equipment
are constantly in the 'comfort zone'.
Media Control's video, light and
sound equipment is stored in the
5000m2 building and must be
protected from damp, while
employees in the production and
testing areas require effective
comfort heating.
Four Reznor UDSA43 heaters
maintain an internal temperature
of 19 to 20°C, sufficient to satisfy
both heating requirements. Reznor
Maximisor destratification fans at
high level return warm air to lower
levels to add to the economic
running of the heaters.Units are
controlled by SmartCom
intelligent controls that keep them
at optimum efficiency.
Despite the extensive floor
space and a roof height of 8m,
good insulation and wall-to-wall
carpeting mean the high efficiency
heaters need only run at low
intensity to maintain all-round
warmth. One boiler fires up when
the external roller shutter doors
open; the rest follow as air cools. More articles from Reznor (UK) Ltd: |
