August 1st 2008 South West Water is now
specifying Siemens Automation
& Drives' high efficiency Flender
Motox geared motors on all of its
sites, as part of its ongoing drive
to improve operating efficiencies
and maximise asset life.
Mike Kinsey, technical support
manager (mechanical-electrical) at
South West Water said the utility
carried out extensive assessments
over a 12-month period before
making the selection, taking into
account whole life cost, value and
performance.
Flender Motox geared motors
incorporating eff1 motors from
Siemens were specified due to
performance, reliability and low
