Partnership on AC drives

Vacon and PPT Drive Systems have joined forces to offer energy efficient solutions based on variable speed AC drives.The partnership performs free site surveys, energy saving calculations and climate change solutions.

Controlling the speed of motors using variable speed drives (VSDs) gives big energy savings.They enable cost effective production and reduce the carbon footprint.

Despite this, less than one in ten electric motors in the world is fitted with a VSD. Both companies believe they could be used in at least one in three motors.

The partnership between Vacon and PPT Drive Systems offers industrial customers the chance to see how energy efficient drives can reduce energy usage and cut energy bills.
