Sudden and progressive leakage detected
June 1st 2008

The LL series sensor from ifm electronic has four independent switching outputs, and continuous monitoring of coolant or hydraulic fluid levels. It indicates vessel overfill with an extra switchpoint, which for safety reasons is independent of the level measurement, but ifm says the new clever part is the leakage detection.

The two programmable outputs of the leakage monitor detect sudden and progressive leakage without additional programming of the controller.

The LT series sensor has four outputs, two for level monitoring and two more which can be set to monitor the temperature of the medium between –10 and 100 °C.
