Ricoh goes for low noise and compact design compressors
April 1st 2008

When the Ricoh Arena in Coventry was looking to offer compressed air as a utility service to exhibitors, Hydrovane distributor Midland Fluid Power immediately recommended two Hydrovane HV15 compressors to fulfil the task.

The Ricoh Arena in Coventry is not only home to Coventry City FC but also the Jaguar exhibition hall.

Peter Wilson, owner of Midlands Fluid Power, explains:"The Ricoh Arena holds a number of major events, including engineering based exhibitions, with companies requiring compressed air to demonstrate equipment such as air tools, air motors and cylinders and valves on their stand.

The two Hydrovane compressors have enabled them to offer an additional service to event organisers.

"The reason we opted for the Hydrovane machines is because they do not require an air receiver, which means their footprint is reduced. They are also extremely quiet and, as they are located under the floor of the exhibition hall itself, we didn't want visitors above able to hear any operational noise." The HV15 features CompAir's reduced energy venting system (REVS) technology which keeps off load power consumption to a minimum making it a high performance, energy efficient machine.
