Mirror mirror on the due point meter
April 1st 2008

The Optidew cooled mirror dew point meter from Michell Instruments can now be used for a wider variety of applications due to its increased cable length of up to 250m.This fulfils any critical requirement that the sensor unit is installed remotely to the electronic of the hygrometer.

The Optidew hygrometer uses the fundamental cooled mirror measurement technique.A precision PT100 is used to measure the temperature with a standard accuracy of 0.2°C dew point and the humidity level is displayed on the instrument front panel.

The Optidew features an IP66 housing, that the company says, is capable of withstanding the most demanding industrial conditions, while retaining the performance and sensitivity of a high-level laboratory reference hygrometer.Michell's Optidew is available in a bench-top or a versatile wall mountable version. The complete measurement range goes from –50°C to +110°C dew point ensuring its suitability for use in tough environments.
