Measuring gas consumption
October 1st 2007

When ifm electronic launched the efector metris a year or so back it caused quite a storm as the first affordable device to monitor consumption or leakage of that major commodity, compressed air.

Many of you use other gases, though, and we were often asked 'will it do CO2'? Can I measure nitrogen with it?"So, literally due to popular demand the efector metris is now available in a version for technical gases. In all efector metris is calibrated for three commonlyused gases, CO2, nitrogen, and argon.

For ease of fitting the efector metris version for technical gases comes pre-installed in a DN15 stainless steel tube.

As with the earlier unit, the efector metris for technical gases still offers an analogue output or a pulsed output, with selectable switchpoints, and a display in the units if your choice.

ifm supplies a wide range of sensors for position and process control, complemented by a huge selection of connection possibilities, from connecting cable to AS-interface systems.
