Most innovative products yet at Energy 2006 August 1st 2006 At energy 2006 ifm electronics will be showing two of its most innovative products yet aimed at optimising energy usage and plant efficiency: the efector metris and efector octavis.
Compressed air is costly 1kW of work from compressed air costs eight to ten times as much as 1kW of electricity. Ifm's new Metris compressed air flow monitors provide a convenient and cost-effective way of monitoring compressed air consumption.
The Metris' integral display gives an instant on-the-spot readout of air flow rate and shows peak flow rate and accumulated consumption, as well as being an aid for entering set points and other operating parameters.
The monitors also feature analogue outputs to facilitate remote monitoring, pulse outputs to make it easy for external equipment to record total consumption, and switched outputs which provide an immediate indication if the flow rate exceeds a preset, userdefined value.
