System automation saves energy

Running more compressors than required results in more energy usage, more maintenance and less back-up or standby capacity in case of breakdown. Ingersoll Rand has launched a new range of compressed air system control products because the company feels that there is a much larger saving with System Automation rather than Basic Sequence Control. They estimate a 12 month return on investment by automating air systems.
