Compressor scheme is pay as you go
February 1st 2008

Compressor manufacturer CompAir has introduced a new purchase plan to help companies get their hands on the latest and most efficient technology without breaking the bank. The new pay-as-you go (PAYG) scheme is now available on selected products from the CompAir and Hydrovane ranges.

Customers pay a weekly or monthly charge, for a minimum period of two years. At the end of this period the customer has 100% ownership of the machine. The payment also covers full servicing and backup throughout the contract, and once the compressor becomes the property of the purchaser, it will still be backed-up by a CompAir extended manufacturer’s warranty for up to an additional eight years.

Announcing the launch of the PAYG scheme, Jeremy Sykes, managing director of CompAir UK and Ireland says:“For the majority of users, the compressor is a very necessary workhorse but often not one that directly makes money.

So, when it comes to allocating a tight capital budget, new compressors can come fairly low in terms of priority. However, if you need compressed air, it is usually an important element in production and the use of modern compressor technology can increase operational efficiency.Today’s compressors are certainly more reliable and will almost always result in energy cost savings, sometimes very significant savings.

By adding a pay-as-you-go scheme to our list of options,we believe we will be able to strengthen the case for getting the latest technology and help customers make the most of their capital budget.”

The PAYG scheme is available on a range of packages, including CompAir fixed speed Airstations and variable speed Hydrovane Hypac machines, both of which comprise an integrated compressor, receiver and dryer in 7kW,11kW and 15kW outputs. These units provide reliable, dry compressed air in a range of pressures, with low noise and a small footprint. PAYG prices for the CompAir Airstations range from £71 to £106 per week, with the Hydrovane machines available from £68 to £139.
